Open standards have become source of technological innovation and cornerstone of information construction. They provide an open interface and achieve interface-based interoperation. Different manufacturers could achieve it differently based on interface standards and different users could make different choices, thus low quality products are eliminated through competition. Open standards provide opportunities for more manufacturers to participate in competition and lay the foundation for innovation. They have become powerful weapons of anti monopoly.
